Clawitzer in Pokemon Champions: Stats, Best Moveset & How to Get

Clawitzer is a special-attacking Water-type in Pokemon Champions defined by its ability, Mega Launcher, which supercharges its pulse and aura attacks. With 120 base Special Attack pushed even higher on the right moves, it delivers some of the most efficient long-range coverage in the format from a single slot. This guide covers Clawitzer's stats, type matchups, best moves, an SP spread, its role in Regulation M-A doubles, and how to get it.

Base Stats

Clawitzer's 120 Special Attack is its headline number and the reason to build around it, backed by respectable 88 Defense and 89 Special Defense bulk. The 59 Speed is below average, so it usually moves in the back half of the order and pairs well with Tailwind or Trick Room. Mega Launcher effectively turns that 120 Special Attack into something far larger on pulse-and-aura moves.

Resists: Fire Water Ice Steel

Abilities

  • Mega Launcher — boosts the power of pulse and aura moves by 50%. This is the build-around: Water Pulse, Dragon Pulse, Dark Pulse and Aura Sphere all hit dramatically harder, and Aura Sphere never misses, so Clawitzer gets near-perfect, hard-hitting coverage from a tight set of moves.

Best Moveset

Clawitzer wants to stack the pulse/aura moves that Mega Launcher boosts, then add a hard STAB hit for everything else.

Mega Launcher special attacker

  • Aura Sphere — boosted, never-miss Fighting coverage that crushes the Dark, Steel and Normal types Water struggles with.
  • Dark Pulse — boosted Dark coverage for Psychic- and Ghost-types, with a flinch chance.
  • Dragon Pulse — boosted Dragon coverage to threaten opposing Dragons.
  • Scald or Hydro Pump — Water STAB; Scald's burn chance is a useful chip, Hydro Pump for raw power.

Other tools include Ice Beam and Blizzard for Grass/Dragon/Flying coverage, Icy Wind for spread speed control, Muddy Water as a spread Water STAB, Flip Turn / U-turn to pivot, Helping Hand, Protect and Tera Blast.

Suggested SP Spread

With the Champions SP system (66 points, max 32 per stat), Clawitzer wants maxed Special Attack to make the most of the Mega Launcher multiplier, then either HP for survivability or Speed to claw out of its sluggish 59 tier — a Special Attack or Speed-boosting Stat Alignment fits well. Under Trick Room you can ignore Speed entirely and dump everything into power and bulk. Set it in the team builder.

Competitive Role in Regulation M-A

Clawitzer is a coverage-dense special attacker that punches above its slot. Mega Launcher means a single Pokemon carries boosted, accurate answers to most of the type chart — Aura Sphere for Steel and Dark walls, Dark Pulse for the Psychics, Dragon Pulse for Dragons, all from one 120 Special Attack mon. Its weakness is Speed: at 59 it gets outrun by most of the meta, so it leans on Tailwind, Icy Wind to drag opponents under it, or Trick Room to move first. Give it speed control or a turn of safety and it reliably removes whatever it points at, making it a flexible special wallbreaker on offense and trick-room teams alike.

Evolution Line

Clauncher → Clawitzer (Level 37). Clawitzer does not Mega Evolve.
