Ditto in Pokemon Champions: Imposter, Stats & How to Get
Ditto is unlike anything else in Pokemon Champions: a single move, a single trick, and a single defining ability. With Imposter, Ditto transforms into one opposing Pokemon the moment it enters — copying its stats, types, moves and stat changes. It is a niche pick in doubles, but a fascinating one. This guide covers how it works, its stats, and how to get it.
Base Stats
Ditto's own stats are a flat 48 across the board, but they rarely matter: Imposter immediately copies the target's stats (except HP). The one stat that does stick is Speed — which is why the classic Ditto set holds a Choice Scarf, letting the copy outspeed the very Pokemon it transformed into.
| Form | HP | Atk | Def | SpA | SpD | Spe | BST |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Ditto | 48 | 48 | 48 | 48 | 48 | 48 | 288 |
Type Matchups
Abilities
- Imposter — on entry, Ditto transforms into the opposing Pokemon directly across from it, copying its stats (except HP), typing, ability, moves and any stat boosts. This is the only reason to run Ditto.
- Limber — prevents paralysis (irrelevant once Imposter triggers).
Best Moveset
The Imposter set
Ditto knows only Transform, and Imposter performs the transformation automatically, so there is no moveset to build. The set is defined entirely by its held item:
- Choice Scarf — the standard choice; since Imposter copies stats but not items, the Scarf boosts Ditto's copied Speed so it outruns the original.
- Focus Sash — an alternative to guarantee Ditto survives one hit and gets a turn to act.
Suggested SP Spread
SP investment is almost irrelevant because Imposter overwrites Ditto's stats on entry — the only stat it keeps is its own, and most of the time the Choice Scarf does the heavy lifting. There is no meaningful spread to optimise in the SP system for a transforming Ditto.
Competitive Role in Regulation M-A
Ditto is a niche answer to setup sweepers: it copies a boosted threat and turns the opponent's own stat boosts against them. In the 6-pick-4 doubles format it is far rarer than in singles — two active Pokemon make its single-target copy less reliable, and it gives the opponent information at team preview. Treat it as a tech pick rather than a staple, best deployed against teams built around one boosting win condition.
Evolution Line
Ditto does not evolve and has no alternate forms.
