Farigiraf in Pokemon Champions: Stats, Best Moveset & How to Get

Farigiraf is a chunky Normal/Psychic special attacker in Pokemon Champions that doubles as one of the safest Trick Room setters in the format thanks to its signature ability, Armor Tail. With 120 HP and 110 Special Attack it can both eat hits and hand them out. This guide covers Farigiraf's stats, type matchups, abilities, best moveset, an SP spread, its role in Regulation M-A doubles, and how to get it.

Base Stats

Farigiraf is built around 120 HP backing 110 Special Attack, with both defenses at a workable 70. The 60 base Speed is low enough that it underspeeds most of the field, which is exactly what you want from a Trick Room body — and great once the room is up. There is no second form, so the stats and Normal/Psychic typing below are the whole picture.

Abilities

  • Armor Tail — prevents opponents from using priority moves against Farigiraf and its allies. In doubles this is enormous: it shuts off Fake Out, Grassy Glide, Sucker Punch and other priority that would otherwise interrupt a Trick Room turn, letting Farigiraf set the room safely.
  • Cud Chew — lets it eat a held Berry a second time the following turn. Niche, but doubles up on a pinch Berry or Sitrus.
  • Sap Sipper — absorbs Grass moves and raises Attack instead. Situational on a special set, but a free Grass immunity for the team.

Best Moveset

Farigiraf's special movepool is wide and its support tools are excellent. For Regulation M-A doubles:

Trick Room setter

  • Trick Room — the core of the set; Armor Tail guarantees it goes up without a priority interrupt.
  • Expanding Force — Psychic STAB that hits both opponents and gains power on Psychic Terrain.
  • Hyper Voice — spread Normal STAB that ignores Substitute and chips both foes.
  • Protect or Helping Hand — stall a turn or buff a slow partner once the room is set.

Calm Mind attacker

  • Calm Mind or Nasty Plot — boost into a tanky special threat.
  • Psychic / Psyshock — single-target STAB; Psyshock hits special walls on their physical side.
  • Stored Power — snowballs hard after a Calm Mind boost.
  • Thunderbolt or Shadow Ball — coverage for Water, Flying and opposing Psychics/Ghosts.

Other tools in its kit include Dazzling Gleam, Energy Ball, Foul Play, Thunder Wave, Reflect, Light Screen, Roar and Tera Blast.

Suggested SP Spread

With the Champions SP system (66 points, max 32 per stat), a Trick Room Farigiraf wants to maximise HP and lean into Special Attack so its slow turns hit hard, with a defensive or SpA Stat Alignment (you do not want Speed under Trick Room). A Calm Mind build can split HP and Special Defense to grind out boosting wars. Tune the exact Level 50 numbers in the PikaChampions team builder.

Competitive Role in Regulation M-A

Farigiraf's whole pitch is the most reliable Trick Room lead in the format. Most setters can be stopped by a Fake Out before the room goes up, but Armor Tail makes that impossible — Farigiraf clicks Trick Room while priority bounces off it, and its 120 HP means a single attack rarely keeps it from succeeding. Once the room is live it flips its low Speed into an advantage and threatens Expanding Force and Hyper Voice spread damage, or sets up a Calm Mind sweep. It anchors slow Trick Room cores alongside heavy hitters that share the same Speed weakness, and the team-wide priority immunity protects those partners too.

Evolution Line

Girafarig → Farigiraf (level up while it knows the move Twin Beam). Farigiraf does not Mega Evolve.
