Meowstic in Pokemon Champions: Stats, Mega & How to Get

Meowstic is a fast Psychic-type in Pokemon Champions that wears two completely different hats. The base form leans on Prankster to fire off priority screens and status, making it one of the best dual-screen and disruption leads in the format. Its Mega Evolution drops the support gimmick and becomes a hard-hitting special attacker with Trace. This guide covers both, plus stats, matchups, best moveset, an SP spread, and how to get it.

Base Stats

Base Meowstic is built for speed and utility — 104 Speed with a thin 83 Special Attack, so it supports rather than sweeps. Mega Meowstic transforms that profile entirely: Special Attack jumps to 143, Speed to 124 and Special Defense to 101, turning the same Pokemon into a genuine fast special threat. The Defense (76) and HP (74) stay low in both forms, so it is fragile to physical pressure.

Abilities

  • Prankster (Meowstic) — gives priority to status moves. This is the build-around: turn-one Reflect, Light Screen, Thunder Wave or Quick Guard before the opponent can act. The single biggest reason to run base Meowstic.
  • Infiltrator (Meowstic) — ignores screens, Substitute and Safeguard, useful for an offensive base set that wants to break past defensive setup.
  • Keen Eye (Meowstic) — prevents accuracy drops; a minor passive option.
  • Trace (Mega Meowstic) — copies an opponent's ability on entry. Situationally powerful but unreliable; the Mega's value is its raw 143 Special Attack regardless of what it Traces.

Best Moveset

Prankster support lead

  • Reflect + Light Screen — priority dual screens to blunt the opening turns for the whole team.
  • Thunder Wave — priority paralysis to slow a faster threat or break a sweeper's momentum.
  • Quick Guard — priority protection for the team against Fake Out and priority spam.
  • Helping Hand — boost a partner's damage on a key turn.

Mega special attacker

  • Expanding Force — huge spread Psychic STAB under Psychic Terrain.
  • Psychic / Psyshock — reliable single-target STAB.
  • Shadow Ball or Dark Pulse — coverage for the Psychic-types and Ghosts that wall it.
  • Nasty Plot or Calm Mind — set up to overwhelm with the Mega's already-large Special Attack.

It also carries Thunderbolt, Energy Ball, Stored Power, Fake Out, Trick Room and Tera Blast.

Suggested SP Spread

With the Champions SP system (66 points, max 32 per stat), the two sets pull in opposite directions: the Prankster lead wants HP and Special Defense with a defensive Stat Alignment so it survives long enough to keep clicking priority utility, while Mega Meowstic wants maxed Special Attack and enough Speed to outrun the field. Plug your numbers into the team builder.

Competitive Role in Regulation M-A

Base Meowstic is one of the cleanest Prankster support leads available. Priority Reflect, Light Screen and Quick Guard let it dictate the opening exchange — softening the burst damage that decides doubles games — while Thunder Wave neuters fast sweepers before they move. Mega Meowstic is a separate win condition: a fast 143 Special Attack threat that punches holes once screens are up or a partner sets Psychic Terrain for Expanding Force. The catch is fragility, so it leans on its Speed and its partners' protection rather than tanking hits. Pick the support build for control teams and the Mega for offense.

Evolution Line

Espurr → Meowstic (Level 25). Meowstic Mega Evolves by holding its Mega Stone.
