Roserade in Pokemon Champions: Stats, Best Moveset & How to Get

Roserade is a fast, hard-hitting special Grass/Poison-type in Pokemon Champions with a sky-high 125 Special Attack and the disruptive option of laying hazards. Natural Cure shrugs off status on switch-out, while a movepool stretching from Sludge Bomb to Dazzling Gleam gives it strong coverage. This guide covers Roserade's stats, type matchups, best moves, an SP spread, its role in Regulation M-A doubles, and how to get it.

Base Stats

Roserade is glassy but threatening: 125 Special Attack and a strong 105 Special Defense are its calling cards, while 90 Speed lets it move before a good chunk of the field. The physical bulk is poor (60 HP / 65 Defense), so it relies on hitting first and hitting hard rather than trading blows. That offensive Special Defense split makes it a natural special-side pivot.

Abilities

  • Natural Cure — heals any status condition when Roserade switches out, letting it pivot away from burns, paralysis or poison and come back clean. The default competitive choice.
  • Poison Point — chance to poison an attacker on contact; passive and unreliable in doubles.
  • Technician — boosts moves with 60 base power or less, but Roserade's best STAB and coverage options sit above that threshold, so it rarely pays off.

Best Moveset

Roserade can play as a fast nuke or as a support that pre-loads hazards. For Regulation M-A doubles:

Special attacker

  • Sludge Bomb — reliable Poison STAB with a chance to poison.
  • Energy Ball or Giga Drain — Grass STAB; Giga Drain adds longevity to a frail body.
  • Dazzling Gleam — spread Fairy coverage that punishes Dragon and Dark partners across the field.
  • Protect — doubles staple; vital on something this fragile for scouting and stalling.

Hazard support

  • Toxic Spikes — poisons grounded switch-ins, wearing teams down over a long game.
  • Spikes — chip on entry for more passive pressure.
  • Leech Seed + Substitute — a recovery-and-stall package.
  • Sludge Bomb — keep an attacking move so it is never passive.

It also carries Leaf Storm for a huge one-off hit, Shadow Ball, Weather Ball, Grassy Glide (priority under Grassy Terrain), Swords Dance, Synthesis and Tera Blast.

Suggested SP Spread

With the Champions SP system (66 points, max 32 per stat), an offensive Roserade maximises Special Attack and Speed with a Speed- or SpA-boosting Stat Alignment; a support build instead pads HP and Special Defense to survive a turn while it lays hazards. Tune the exact Level 50 numbers in the team builder.

Competitive Role in Regulation M-A

Roserade fills the fast-special-attacker-with-utility niche. Its 125 Special Attack and 90 Speed let it open games by threatening immediate KOs, while Dazzling Gleam and Sludge Bomb hit a broad slice of the format for spread or single-target damage. The frail physical bulk keeps it honest — it wants Fake Out support or a fast partner to cover for it — but the ability to swap between a pure nuke and a Toxic Spikes setter gives it real teambuilding flexibility. On bulkier teams it doubles as a hazard pre-load that punishes the constant switching of a 6-pick-4 format.

Evolution Line

Budew → Roselia (high friendship) → Roserade (use a Shiny Stone). Roserade does not Mega Evolve.
