Simisear in Pokemon Champions: Stats, Best Moveset & How to Get

Simisear is the Fire member of the elemental-monkey trio in Pokemon Champions. Like its siblings it is a fragile, fast attacker with matched 98 Attack and Special Attack, but its Fire typing and access to spread Heat Wave give it real doubles relevance. This guide covers Simisear's stats, type matchups, best moves, an SP spread, its role in Regulation M-A doubles, and how to get it.

Base Stats

Simisear shares the trio's stat line: 75/63/63 bulk, 101 Speed, and equal 98 offenses. The dual offenses let it run a physical, special or mixed Fire set, but the standout is its special side — Heat Wave hits both opponents at once, which suits a fast, frail spread attacker far better than a single-target physical build.

Resists: Fire Grass Ice Bug Steel Fairy

Abilities

  • Gluttony — triggers a held Berry at half HP instead of a quarter. Pairs with a pinch Berry to squeeze extra value from a fragile attacker.
  • Blaze — boosts Fire moves by 50% once HP drops below a third. A passive comeback bonus rather than a build-around.

Best Moveset

Simisear's best doubles set leans on its spread Fire STAB and Speed. For Regulation M-A:

Spread special attacker

  • Heat Wave — spread Fire STAB that pressures both opponents at once; the core of any Simisear set.
  • Flamethrower or Fire Blast — single-target Fire STAB when you need to punch through one target.
  • Focus Blast — Fighting coverage for the Rock, Steel and Dark types that wall Fire.
  • Protect — doubles staple for scouting and surviving spread turns.

Physical / utility flex

  • Fire Punch — physical Fire STAB off its equal 98 Attack.
  • Gunk Shot — heavy Poison damage for Fairy and Grass targets.
  • Superpower — physical Fighting coverage to break walls.
  • Will-O-Wisp — burn a physical attacker to cushion Simisear's frail defenses.

Other tools include Rock Slide, Power-Up Punch, Knock Off, Throat Chop, Helping Hand, Taunt and Substitute.

Suggested SP Spread

With the Champions SP system (66 points, max 32 per stat), Simisear wants Special Attack and Speed for the Heat Wave spread set, with a Special-Attack-boosting Stat Alignment. A physical build mirrors the points into Attack instead. Its 75/63/63 bulk is too thin to be worth defensive investment, so commit to offense. Competitive Role in Regulation M-A

Simisear is the most doubles-relevant of the three monkeys purely because of Heat Wave: a fast spread Fire attacker that chips both opponents is a real, if minor, archetype. Its 101 Speed lets it fire before most of the unboosted field, and Will-O-Wisp gives it a way to blunt the physical attackers that would otherwise revenge-kill it. The catch is its fragility — it folds to almost any neutral hit — so it depends on Tailwind, redirection or a fast partner to clear the threats that outspeed it. It is a budget spread attacker, not a meta staple, but it does the one thing Simisage and Simipour cannot do as cleanly: pressure two targets every turn.

Evolution Line
