Skeledirge in Pokemon Champions: Stats, Best Moveset & How to Get

Skeledirge is a bulky Fire/Ghost special attacker in Pokemon Champions that snowballs with Torch Song while shrugging off stat boosts thanks to Unaware. With 104 HP, strong defenses and 110 Special Attack, it is one of the format's most reliable bulky win conditions. This guide covers Skeledirge's stats, type matchups, abilities, best moveset, an SP spread, its doubles role, and how to get it.

Base Stats

Skeledirge has excellent all-around bulk for an attacker — 104 HP, 100 Defense and 75 Special Defense — backed by a strong 110 Special Attack. Its 66 Speed is low, which makes it a natural Trick Room attacker and means it usually moves after its targets, but the bulk lets it survive the wait. The Fire/Ghost typing only has a few weaknesses and gives two immunities (Normal and Fighting).

Abilities

  • Blaze — powers up Fire moves by 50% when HP drops below one third. A passive comeback boost.
  • Unaware — ignores the target's stat-stage changes when attacking, and ignores the attacker's boosts when being hit. This is the build-around: Skeledirge walls setup sweepers cold, calmly hitting through their Defense boosts and taking their Swords Dance / Nasty Plot hits as if unboosted.

Best Moveset

Skeledirge plays as a bulky special attacker. For Regulation M-A doubles:

Torch Song bulky attacker

  • Torch Song — its signature Fire STAB that raises Special Attack one stage on every use, snowballing damage while staying durable.
  • Shadow Ball — Ghost STAB for coverage on Psychic- and Ghost-types.
  • Will-O-Wisp — burns physical attackers, leaning into the bulky identity.
  • Protect — doubles staple to stall Tailwind/Trick Room turns and bank chip from burns.

Disruption / support

  • Snarl — spread Dark damage that lowers both opponents' Special Attack, great team support.
  • Yawn — forces switches or a sleep, pressuring setup leads.
  • Encore / Roar — lock or phase opponents to disrupt their plans.

Other notable tools include Flamethrower, Fire Blast, Heat Wave, Flare Blitz, Hyper Voice, Earth Power, Scorching Sands, Earthquake, Crunch, Poltergeist, Zen Headbutt, Outrage, Helping Hand, Substitute and Tera Blast.

Suggested SP Spread

With the Champions SP system (66 points, max 32 per stat), Skeledirge wants HP and a defensive split so it can soak hits while Torch Song stacks. A bulk-leaning Stat Alignment (raise a defense, lower its already-low Speed for Trick Room) suits it well, with the remaining points in Special Attack. Tune the Level 50 numbers in the PikaChampions team builder.

Competitive Role in Regulation M-A

Skeledirge is a bulky special win condition and a hard counter to setup. Unaware lets it ignore opposing Defense and Special Attack boosts entirely, so it beats sweepers that would steamroll a normal wall, while Torch Song means every turn it survives makes its next hit stronger. Its low Speed and big bulk make it a premier Trick Room attacker, and Snarl plus Will-O-Wisp let it sap both offensive sides of the opposing team. It pairs naturally with Trick Room setters and redirection so it can stack Torch Song safely, then close games as a near-unkillable special breaker.

Evolution Line

Fuecoco → Crocalor (Level 16) → Skeledirge (Level 36). Skeledirge does not Mega Evolve.
