Zoroark in Pokemon Champions: Stats, Hisuian Form & How to Get
Zoroark is a fast, frail special attacker in Pokemon Champions whose entire game plan revolves around Illusion — it enters disguised as a teammate, baiting the wrong response before it strikes. The base form is pure Dark; the Hisuian form swaps to Normal/Ghost with an even higher Special Attack. This guide covers both forms, plus stats, type matchups, abilities, best moveset, an SP spread and how to get it.
Base Stats
Both forms are glass cannons: paper-thin 60/60/60 (Hisuian: 55/60/60) bulk paired with high Special Attack and 105+ Speed. Standard Zoroark has 120 Special Attack and 105 Speed; Hisuian Zoroark pushes to 125 Special Attack and 110 Speed. Neither takes a hit well, so they win games through the Illusion bluff and raw speed, not durability.
| Form | HP | Atk | Def | SpA | SpD | Spe | BST |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Zoroark (Dark) | 60 | 105 | 60 | 120 | 60 | 105 | 510 |
| Zoroark (Normal/Ghost) | 55 | 100 | 60 | 125 | 60 | 110 | 510 |
Type Matchups
Abilities
- Illusion — Zoroark enters battle disguised as the last Pokemon in your party, copying its name and sprite until it takes a direct hit. In doubles this is genuine mind-games: opponents may aim the wrong attack, waste a redirection, or fail to Protect the right slot. The bluff is the build-around for both forms.
Best Moveset
Zoroark wants to set up the Illusion bluff and then fire off fast, hard special hits. Standout options for Regulation M-A doubles:
Illusion special attacker (base, Dark)
- Dark Pulse — Dark STAB; reliable with a flinch chance.
- Flamethrower — coverage for Steel, Bug and Grass types that resist Dark.
- Nasty Plot — double Special Attack to turn a bluffed turn into a sweep.
- Sucker Punch or Protect — priority to pick off weakened foes, or safety to preserve the frail body.
Hisuian set (Normal/Ghost)
- Shadow Ball — Ghost STAB; the Hisuian form's main offensive button.
- Hyper Voice — spread Normal STAB hitting both foes.
- Flamethrower / Focus Blast — coverage; Nasty Plot to snowball.
Other notable tools shared across the line include Knock Off, Snarl, Encore, Taunt, U-turn, Foul Play, Swords Dance and Tera Blast.
Suggested SP Spread
With the Champions SP system (66 points, max 32 per stat), Zoroark wants Special Attack and Speed to land the Illusion hit before it gets KO'd — its bulk is too low to invest in, so go all-in on offense with a Speed- or SpA-boosting Stat Alignment. Hisuian Zoroark plays the same way with marginally better numbers. Build the exact Level 50 spread in the team builder.
Competitive Role in Regulation M-A
Zoroark is a high-risk, high-reward special attacker whose value is almost entirely informational: Illusion lets it masquerade as a teammate, and a well-disguised Zoroark can dodge a kill, eat a misdirected attack, or open a Nasty Plot turn the opponent did not see coming. Once the disguise drops it is fast and hits hard, but 60/60/60 bulk means it dies to almost anything super-effective or even to chip and priority — so it must convert its bluff immediately. The Hisuian form is the more enticing pick defensively: weak only to Dark and immune to Normal, Fighting and Ghost, it has a far cleaner switch-in profile to back up its higher Special Attack. Both forms reward careful team-building around the Illusion lie and benefit from speed control or redirection to land their hit safely.
Evolution Line
Zorua → Zoroark (Level 30). Hisuian Zoroark evolves from Hisuian Zorua at the same level. Zoroark does not Mega Evolve.
